Les Juliannes is a former estate dating back to 1664, nestled in the Tarn countryside in Paulinet, near Albi, Ambialet and the Tarn Valley. Fully renovated in the 2010s, it now welcomes guests in two charming gites, designed for family holidays, stays with friends, or peaceful escapes in the heart of nature.
Once a well-known equestrian centre in the region, the estate has kept its soul: wide open spaces, meadows, woods, walking paths, sunsets and starry nights. La Pierre Étoilée sleeps up to 9 guests with a private pool; La Bergerie sleeps up to 5 guests with a private garden; and Le Duo allows both gites to be rented together for stays of up to 14 guests.
In both summer and winter, guests can enjoy a natural estate of 80 hectares of meadows and woodland, including around 50 hectares of forest, where local wildlife and plant life remain abundant and preserved.
Sunset over the meadows

This charming 140 m² gite offers 4 bedrooms arranged over two floors, centred around a spacious living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. Each floor has two bedrooms, a bathroom or shower room, and toilets.
The private garden, located next to the gite, opens onto the wooded grounds and the landscapes of the estate. Guests can enjoy a true feeling of being surrounded by nature, beautiful sunsets and long summer evenings under the starry sky.
The 50 m² private pool and its terrace are set in a peaceful spot in the middle of a meadow, with open views over the surrounding nature.
Formerly home to the shepherd and his sheep, La Bergerie is a charming 120 m² gite. The ground floor features a spacious living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen; upstairs are the two bedrooms, the bathroom and the laundry room.
Its private garden, located next to the gite, also gives direct access to the wooded grounds and the wide open spaces of the estate. It is a peaceful place to enjoy sunsets, summer evenings and the starry skies of Les Juliannes.
The private pool is included with La Pierre Étoilée and with Le Duo, which brings both gites together for stays of up to 14 guests.
From Les Juliannes, the surrounding paths, hills and valleys naturally invite you to explore on foot. The Oulas river borders the property, while the Tarn Valley, Ambialet and the nearby lakes offer many ideas for days out: swimming, canoeing, horse riding, character villages, local markets, heritage sites and preserved landscapes.
Albi, Gaillac, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Lautrec, Lavaur and Rodez also make it easy to alternate between nature days and cultural visits. The Les Juliannes local guide brings together our recommendations to help you prepare your discoveries around the estate.
Far from the main sources of light pollution, Les Juliannes offers a rare night sky. On clear evenings, stars, constellations and the Milky Way appear above the estate, in the silence of the countryside.
The site is located in a Bortle 3 zone, with sky quality well suited to astronomical observation. Observation equipment is not provided, but the setting naturally lends itself to evenings under the stars.
